Our work reflects a diverse group of clients, communities, and interests. We are contemporary designers, professional storytellers, enthusiasts, and makers. The "studio" component of studioSTL comes from close collaboration with local builders, consultants, and design professionals to expand our expertise while delivering a holistic, design service.

Our portfolio encompasses a wide range of projects both in scale and type including custom homes, boutique lodging facilities, and large commercial enterprises. In each of our projects we strive to develop spaces that are intentional, timeless, and beautiful.

Simon Little
Owner I Architect

Simon is a Port Townsend local and founder of studioSTL. He developed a passion for design while working for his family’s construction business, leading him to earn his Masters of Architecture from Judson University in Chicago. Since founding studioSTL in 2007, Simon has designed a significant number of residential and commercial projects around the Olympic Peninsula. His commitment to Port Townsend is reflected through his community involvement and strong network of local professionals.

Shelly Little
Owner

Shelly has turned a passion for interior design into a career focused on kitchen and bath design. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from Judson University and years of experience at several high-end Kitchen and Bath design firms. She has a creative approach to design and a high attention to detail that she brings to each project. She simultaneously manages the Port Townsend based home-staging business, Simply Styled Home.

Monica Mader
Architect | LEED Professional

Monica has nine years of experience working on award-winning education and commercial projects. She has helped shape progressive and sustainable, community-oriented designs around the Pacific Northwest. Her expertise is in digital modeling and project visualization. She is a licensed Architect in the State of Oregon and Washington, and holds a BArch from California Polytechnic State University.

Shane Harper
Architect

Shane has over a decade of experience on projects ranging from breweries, restaurants, and industrial buildings to multi-family housing and single-family residences. He is a multi-faceted, detail-oriented code guru, who can also swing a hammer. He is a licensed Architect in the State of Oregon and Washington, and holds a BArch from the University of Oregon.

Kristen Metzger
Designer

Kristen is a designer with a background in architectural lighting design. Her previous experience gives her an appreciation for the big impact that even the smallest of details can make in a space. She graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. She enjoys working within her community to help realize the needs of our clients.

Darius Polipnick
Designer

Darius has a decade of experience working on various project types in both the public and private sectors. He has spent the later half of that time working on award winning homes throughout Northern California, with focus around Lake Tahoe. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors of Design in Architecture and enjoys exploring how technology can enhance our design experiences; like Virtual Reality. Outside the office, he enjoys his passion for woodworking, fishing and anything outdoors.

Mave Lastovica
Project Assistant | Designer

Mave has broad experience in residential and commercial projects. She has a keen eye and enjoys every part of design from structural details to paint colors. Mave enjoys cooking exotic food, mothering two small children, pretending to be a gardener, admiring design books, and reading fantasy novels.

Pepper
Chief Snoopervisor

Pepper is learning the ropes as she adjusts to her new role as office snooperviser. She has a thirst for cords and causing chaos in her wake.
